Web rankings and Search Traffic
We often tell our customers to own as much real estate as possible on the web in order to improve their search engine rankings and make sure they receive traffic, phone calls, inquiries and ultimately secure more sales.
What does this mean?
The answer is very simple.
We all know that good rankings come from quality content and website optimization. We also know that social media networks often influence our rankings and allow us to appear on the first page of Google for specific keywords (by social media networks, we mean all the networks that are relevant to your business). Video content and images are also extremely important and should be optimized for the right keywords on your website and on your social media networks.
BUT what we less know is the importance of a free tool called Google My Business.
A Profile on Google My Business helps you reach and engage with local customers across Google Search and Maps. This is actually very useful for any company that services customers in a specific location. Potential customers will look up a specific expression and thanks to your listing on Google My Business, your company will appear in the results. If you have different offices in different cities or different countries, you can add them under your listing.
What do I need to do?
First claim your business
Secondly make sure your name, address and phone number are correct
Select an accurate business category
Upload images and short videos related to your business
And last but not least upload regularly content such as articles, press releases, useful info and for each piece of content, add a special call to action.
